I wonder how many Signature's it would take to get the Original L Word
Aug 17 2010, 6:39 PM EDT
I'm not impressed with THE REAL L WORD movie or CREW,I am a real lesbian and I have tons of lesbian friends, we do not act like this in public or bars, We were more like the Original crew, And grew to love the movie and charters they played,Alice,Shaine,Bet,Tina, jen, roxy brown her self, I canceled showtime because, the real l word is just not what i want the public to think we are about, Most of us are very Family oriented, live a normal life style while publicly open as lesbian and gay,we are not the party ho's like the real l word, cj) Do you find this valuable? |

As a first thing, I have to say that I never got the chance to watch The Real L Word...nor I would've watched it if i actually had had it. The idea was born out of the original cast and show, but the idea behind it was, I think, purely commercial. I guess they were like: "Reality shows mean audience? Let's do one about lesbians, exploiting the huge success of the series. "And, since "family oriented lesbians already out of the closet with a normal lifestyle" are considered as boring as any other human being living a normal life, they had to choose stand-outs. It's a shame, it's unfair, but it's television. =S Do you find this valuable? |

i agree with you. The real L word is just not interesting by any means. I really have not met lesbians like that before but of course i never met them all.

"I'm not impressed with THE REAL L WORD movie or CREW,I so agree with you! The Real L Word bores me to death. When I watched the first episode I was literally forcing myself to finish it and even try to like it. But I really don't. It's not that I'm bias or anything with the L Word. It's just that when I watched the first episode of The L Word there was this instant connection and the characters, the lines and the story itself reached my inner being, and that made me fall in love with it. I am kind of disappointed with Ilene Chaiken with The Real L Word honestly. I'm just looking for for The L Word movie maybe then Ilene Chaiken will redeem herself. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I wonder how many Signature's it would take to get the Original L Word? Well I think this will be very difficult at some point. Some of the casts of The L Word are straight like Jennifer Beals, Erin Daniels, Pam Grier, Marlee Martin and Mia Kirshner but Laurel Holloman, Leisha Hailey, Rachel Shelley, Rose Rollins, Daniela Sea, Cybill Shepherd and her daughter who played Molly are real life lesbians and/or bisexuals. Kate Moennig, on the other hand, have not said anything yet on whether she's a butch or a straight woman. (though it really is already obvious) I think for some reason the cast would never hook up with each other so I kind of think it'll be difficult and even close to impossible to connect them to each other.
