No chance of that, Jennifer Beals values her privacy and we should all respect that. Who really cares whether she is straight or gay, she is a fantastic actress, spokeswoman, mother, sister I could go on, but I won't. She just ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do know that is what good acting is all about.........is to convince the audience that they really are who they are in that character, but there is excellent acting and there is just plain old acting on your own identity.......... 4 out of 4 found this valuable. That is what is called EXCELLENT ACTING & TOTALLY GETTING INTO THE CHARACTER. Just take a look around a some of the great actors...they get totally involved in their characters...some even stay in character until the TV show or movie is finished. You just sooooo want her to be gay...I don't blame you...I do too...but knowing that she is not gay never comes into my thoughts when I watch her on the TLW. She's TOTALLY GAY as Bette!!!!

"I PERSONALLY THINK THAT EVERYONE ON THE SHOW IS DIBBIN N DABBIN,HOW CAN U ACT 1 WAY 4 13 HOURS OR SO A DAY THEN TURN IT OFF COMPLETLY...I'M SORRY THAT JUST MY OPINON"Ha-nice try and you have every right to your opinion. BUT Have u every been on a TV/movie set before?? Well, it's TOTALLY borrrrr-ing. (Just like Molly said). They set up, then lights are set, angles set, etc. THEN the scence is ready to shoot-so it's "action"........."cut"...let's try that this way...OK..."action" again.......do you get my drift. Depending on a particular day and how many actors are bring used that day...there will be a lot of sitting around, and more sitting around...SO, take that hot, sexy dance scene you saw in the final episode. It probalbly took several + hours to do that entire scene...but B&T were not feeling hot and feeling sexy the entire day!!....that's where you see good acting, great directing and great editing. If you haven't gotten the picture yet dear...they had perhaps 1/2 hour,though that 1/2 hour might have been interrupted every 1 to 2 maybe 3 minutes with a loud "CUT"....and on & on it goes!!! SO tell me how YOU COULD keep feeling hot and sexy after 13 hours of this??? Agian, I state that this is where you see GREAT ACTORS and GREAT EDITORS and GREAT DP's, and GREAT DIRECTORS and a GREAT CREW. THEY are the ALL the ones that make our experience sooo HOT. KUDOS to ALL at THE L WORD...EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

I agree with you Maya, Jennifer Beals is fantastic and her sexual preference doesn't matter. She is happily married with a great family and that probably means everything to her. She craves privacy and makes every effort to keep her life that way, by not appearing in public and doing the Convention scene, although she is attending the L5 Convention in Blackpool, U.K. this year. How lucky are we Brits that she chose to attend her first ever Convention on our small island. I can't wait for November to get here, I've booked my place.

Another thing when you keep doing something over and over again when its a good thing ...like kissing for an example, you tend to get attached when its repeated over and over again. I'm not trying to to be nasty, howerver, I know you are aware of what actors do...and JB happens to be " an accomplished and actor ectrodinarie"..To ALL of you out there, GET A GRIP, BEGIN TO GET YOUR MIND WRAPPED AROUND THE FACT THAT JB IS straight (I say "striaght", because I have seen many situations where straight to gay/bi...whatever) I am not even trying to imply that JB, in the future may try bi)...all I'm saying is ACCEPT that fantastic lady for who she is!!!!! A brilliant, feeling, caring and exceptional actor.In conclusion...let's all get off this gay, bi, straight or trans direction and ACCECT JB as who she is....A Brilliant Actor, a Caring Person and a woman who has championed the LGBT community...she has embrassed us...is one of us...wtf more can you ask from a human being with a soul like JB????? "No,Jennifer is straight as a ruler. She was asked how could she do thse scences and look so convincing. She said, I know how to love a person,I know what its like to be in love. So she uses that into her acting ability. she said she has never been attracted to the same sex. In Tibette,it says if she were to like a woman,it would be someone like Kelly Lynch. "Right THERE is the answer..."she knows how to love and be loved. " Did the person who played Charles Manson (Steve Railsback) in Helter Skelter, have to be a "real" sadistic murder??? Don't think so, in fact I know so. He researched, took direction well and emerced himself into that character. I worked with Steve on another film, after he'd done Helter Skelter, we got close. We talked about the Manson movie. Steve was so totally opposite of CM and one would never think/fell that Steve was CM in real life...he's as much CM as I am the pope.
