"When Cagney and Lacey was going to be canned by CBS back in the 80's, I wrote a letter to CBS. I said that the Show should be continued, as it was a great series showing to very strong female characters, the like of which we had never seen before on TV. One of which was dedicated to her career and wanting to go all the way to the top and the other, had a family to think about and go home to and was trying to juggle all of that as well as being a Detective.

Guess what, I got a reply from CBS on their headed notepaper and the Show was saved. Obviously not just due to me, but because of all the other fans of the show that wrote too. The show continued after that for a few more seasons, just because people got behind it and did something to keep it on the air. May be we could do the same for The L Word?????"
