The first season of The L Word introduces us to Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals) and Tina Kennard (Laurel Holloman,) a committed couple who have decided to have a baby. Their neighbor's girlfriend Jenny (Mia Kirshner) moves in and once she starts mixing with Bette and Tina's friends, Jenny questionins her sexuality. Bette's sister Kim (Pam Grier) struggles with alcoholism while friend Dana (Erin Daniels) struggles with combining her secret life as a lesbian with her professional life as a tennis player. But Jenny is thrown off course when she meets The Planet's owner Marina at a party hosted by Tim's lesbian neighbours Bette and Tina; an art museum curator and a former entertainment executive who are seeking a sperm donor. As Jenny gives into her attraction to Marina, she becomes the focus of discussion amongst a lively circle of friends, including sexy hair stylist Shane, bisexual journalist Alice, closet case pro tennis player Dana and Bette's half sister, Kit, a recovering alcohlic and musician. Episode Summary: After Tim proposed to Jenny the previous night, he decides to throw an engagement party. He invites his friends, Randy and Carol, Bette and Tina as well as Marina, with disastrous results. Bette and Tina perform an insemination at home after Tina comes up with no reasons as to why she wouldn't want to make a baby that is half black. Alice creates an online version of the chart and uses it to determine the sexual orientation of Lara Perkins for Dana. Unable to locate her Alice, Shane and Dana head over to Bette and Tina's for some "expert'' advice which leads to them into investigating further. Shane is being stalked by Lacy whoembarrasses her and Dana is excited to find out that she got the deal with Subaru. |

I just purchased the DVD's for Season One. It is absolutely amazing! I even met someone today who was as obsessed with The L Word as I am!
Hopefully, we'll hook up after we settle a small discrepancy. When we exchanged numbers, I accidentally left with my own information to contact her. I just hope she gets my e-mail, because at the very least, I remembered it. |

That very same day I purchased a better camera. It's a Fuji, as an upgrade from a Coolpix. Low-end Coolpixes don't have the quality I'm looking for in my pictures, as you can see with the picture I took with it on the upper left hand corner of this writing. Since I want to go to Blackpool, England to go to The L Word convention this September, I want to have a good camera, because undoubtedly, this will require some very serious picture taking. It may even offer some serious songwriting before and after.
